GC之前發行#WOTL的時候接受 Ellen DeGeneres 的訪問，談到新專輯內收錄的新歌"Purple Sky"(AMAZON的版本的附加歌曲，iTUNES的是"Slipping away")，他說這首歌是寫給受霸凌之苦的孩子，希望能在他們每晚天含淚入睡的傷心夜晚，給他們勇氣，給他們自信，給他們愛。因為正常的藍天縱然美麗(我想應該是一般人，沒有受霸凌之苦的孩子)，但是紫色的天空(也就是和一般人不同的被欺負的孩子)也是有其獨特的一面，也是需要被欣賞。歌詞最後提到的人名不是隨便寫寫，這些是為紀念被霸凌而結束自己生命的孩子的名字，藉此慎重的表達關懷。
然而Ellen DeGeneres反問他是否有遭遇過類似狀況時，他竟然也是有過類似遭遇的受害著，他說在學校有被叫一些"外號"(我記得他在學校有被同學譏笑過"公主"(princess))，所以很能體會弱勢的心情。
